TiviMate alternative

A TiviMate alternative that tidies up for you.

Orbit is an IPTV player for Fire TV and Android TV. It plays the same playlist or Xtream Codes login you use in TiviMate, then sorts the mess for you.

What's the same

Same playlist. Less sorting.

What Orbit does differently

Made for messy playlists.

Sorts messy lists

Group names like |UK| SPORTS ᴴᴰ, UK - Sport and [GB] all end up under United Kingdom › Sports, and channel names are cleaned too.

One channel, not four

SD, HD, FHD and 4K copies become one channel that plays the best version, with the others kept as backups.

Backups that kick in

If a stream drops, Orbit reconnects, then switches to a backup copy or to the same channel from your second provider.

Set up from your phone

Scan the code on the TV and type your provider's login on your phone, not with the remote. Backups and restores work the same way.

Profiles that learn

Everyone at home gets their own history, My List and a Home screen that learns what they like to watch.

When TiviMate may suit you better.

Switching

Switch in three steps.

  1. Install Orbit. In Downloader, type the code 9797120. The install guide shows every step.
  2. Scan the QR code on your TV. Sign up on your phone. Your 12-hour free trial starts when the TV is linked.
  3. Add your provider. Type the same playlist address or Xtream Codes login you use now, on your phone.

You can keep TiviMate installed while you try Orbit.

Questions

Before you switch.

Can I use my TiviMate playlist in Orbit?

Yes. Orbit takes the same M3U playlist addresses and Xtream Codes logins. You'll find them in your provider's welcome email or on its website, and you type them on your phone when Orbit shows its QR code.

Does Orbit have a lifetime plan?

No. Orbit costs £1.19 a month, £2.99 every 3 months or £7.99 a year, with every feature in every plan.

Which devices does Orbit run on?

Fire TV devices on Fire OS 6 or later, and Android TV or Google TV devices on Android 6 or later. It's tuned to stay smooth on 1 GB sticks. Fire TVs running Vega OS can't run Android apps, so Orbit can't run on them.

Is Orbit legal?

Orbit is a media player, like any video player app: it contains no channels, films or series and doesn't link to any. Whether what you watch is legal depends on the service you use and where you live, so only use services you have the right to watch.
